I was seven when I knew I wanted to be a designer. I was seven and I knew which art school I wanted to go too and what I wanted to be. The wanted to be changed, I sat in a lecture and discovered a kindred spirit in jewellery and metalwork, but I ended up there and I was happy. It’s okay to say you’re depressed, people understand that, but telling people you have designer block isn’t quite as understandable. I’m frequently told to buck up or just to work through it, the latter may work but not having confidence negates it. I have spent most of my life depressed and with no confidence and I’m tired of it robbing me of my creativity. So I blog and pin and tumble through the web searching for inspiration.
